David John Deubelbeiss, a writer, author, poet, teacher, and educator, passed away on February 21, 2023, at the age of 60. He was born on September 8th, 1962, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to parents John and Barbara Deubelbeiss. He is survived by his wife, Rachel, and their three children, Emily, Joshua, and Zachary.

David had a passion for writing and education from a young age. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in English and later earned a Master's degree in Education from the University of Arizona. He began his teaching career in Tucson, Arizona, where he taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to immigrant and refugee students. He was a dedicated educator and advocate for his students, always striving to ensure that they received the best education possible.

Throughout his career, David authored several books and articles on ESL teaching and language education. His writing was known for its clarity and insight, and he was highly respected in his field. He was also an accomplished poet and published several collections of his work. His poetry was deeply personal and reflected his love of nature and his commitment to social justice.
